Seniors
One of the most active and fun-filled groups here at St Saviour’s is the groups of Seniors! No longer held back by the worries of working life, this group meets regularly to spend time together and support each other through life.
The Wednesday Communion service is designed especially with you in mind, giving you a more traditional service of praise and worship, but retaining the life and Spirit-led sparkle that is key to our church.
The service is followed by an hour of chatting over refreshments, with lots of great cakes to eat!
Throughout the year there are also numerous outings arranged for the group to places of local interest, and locations further afield. This year a group even went on holiday together for a week in South Wales.
Members of the group also regularly visit the Ashton Lodge to conduct services for those in the home.
There is also an Art Group which meets each week to chat whilst creating and painting. Whether you are an old hand, or fancy discovering a new talent, you are really welcome to join.
We also know that life can start moving too fast to keep up with at this age. So we take seriously trying to care for you as much as possible. We partner with Age Concern and other local agencies to help guide and support you through life, with the aim of making it as good as it possibly can be.
If you would like to come to any of the Seniors groups contact Naomi via the office. We look forward to seeing you soon!
