Bloke
If you would rather watch re-runs of the A-Team on a Saturday night than Strictly Come Dancing, then this page is for you.
Bloke is a simple group of men (just like what Robin Hood had) who meet together for various different things throughout the year.
Our goal is to develop into men who represent Jesus well in all we do, and demonstrate his outrageous grace to everyone we meet. And if we can do that whilst eating some kind of meat, all the better!
This page should give you all the info you need. If this is a little too much like being asked to read an instruction manual, then just contact Paul at bloke-towers. As long as he is not watching a Bond film, he should get back to you soon.
Breakfast
Every Wednesday morning we meet for breakfast and prayers from 6:30-7:30am in the Glebe cottage behind church. Yep, that’s right – 6:30am! Man up and get out of bed soldier!
Plenty of coffee and good food as well as some time praying together for our church, ourselves and our mates.
Nuts N Bolts
Strap on your tool belt and get stuck in as we fix things in the local community. If Anneka Rice would have tackled it, so will we (although please don’t wear lycra). Any local community project that we can help by flexing our combined DIY muscles, we will. And afterwards we will devour a curry.
Keep your eyes peeled for news of the next project, or, if you know of somewhere that needs a helping hand, give Paul a shout.
Socials
Come shoot the breeze and chillax with the lads! Regular trips out for sporting, beer drinking, meat eating and outdoor type activities. No shopping trips. Ever.
5-a-side
Come and experience champions league level football in style. Or at least that is how a dodgy estate agent would advertise this! 5-a-side played by blokes who remember being able to play a lot better once upon a time is closer to the truth!
Thursday nights. 8pm @ meadhurst sports centre. Bring a few quid to cover pitch hire and to buy an isotonic beer afterwards!
