Good News!

Did you know that last weekend there were over 55 children between the ages of 0-13 at Church on Sunday morning! This is something we should be rejoicing about and praising God for.

On the same Sunday in the evening there were 19 young people at their Life Group!

On that day there were more than 160 adults attending the 10am service and 40 at the 7pm service.

Some say numbers are not important but at the same time surely it’s something to celebrate when children, young people and adults want to come together and be part of Gods local church.

Because of the growth of this work we are urgently seeking Space solutions especially for Kids Church. At present I am talking with Surrey Libraries to see if we could use the Library on a Sunday. We could ask to go back to Kenyngton Manor School perhaps for Kids Church?

What I need is for us to pray that we can find a suitable venue so that we can grow this vital aspect of our church family in the short term and to pray for the long term answers.

A possible long term answer might be to build the unfinished side chancel of St Saviours Church which has been waiting for a 100 years! On that site we could build a two story building that could house a Hall and other rooms which would be of tremendous use to us as a church. When you are next on site go down the main driveway and look at the corrugated iron side of the church where you will see that the original architect has the bricks jutting out ready for another section of the church building.

In the coming year we will be reviewing all our use of space in order to use what we have in the best way, to make sure money is used wisely and to prepare for the long term answers for the church. You may have already noticed that we have moved Teeny Tiny Church to the Chapel on Sundays as part of this review and especially because they need more space! Other groups and ministries may need to move as part of this ongoing review. We will keep you up to date as locations change for different groups or ministries.

Thank God for these issues which all arise because God’s church is growing and on the move!
